Essendant Careers Page Redesign
Essendant needed a refreshed careers page that better communicated who they are as an employer. The existing page lacked warmth, clarity, and culture, and didn’t give candidates a compelling reason to explore opportunities. I was asked to redesign the experience with a stronger emphasis on storytelling, usability, and employer branding.
I designed an entirely new page layout in WordPress, centered around the needs of job seekers—clear benefit highlights, diversity commitments, charitable programs, employee testimonials, and a tone that reflected Essendant’s inclusive culture. To improve accessibility and increase conversions, I placed a “Join Our Team” button at the top of the page and repeated it throughout the flow to guide visitors toward the external job board. After developing mockups that were presented to the CEO and VP of Marketing, I built the page and published it to the live site.
In addition to the webpage, I created a large-format career fair banner and a printed flyer to support in-person recruitment efforts. Together, these assets delivered a consistent, engaging employer brand experience across digital and physical touch points.
FWF Lobby Design
As FWF recently expanded their headquarters, their lobby got relocated. I was tasked with designing this space and overseeing any external vendor relationships required for this project. This project quickly expanded to redesigning the conference space in addition to the lobby space. I worked with our leadership team throughout the process of this lobby design.
I started this project by sending our leadership team four design concepts per space to review. We decided to move forward with an award wall and metallic FWF signage as our primary designs for the various walls.
I worked with a signage vendor to print the metallic signage.
I also sent our leadership team mockups of furniture options for the various spaces with cost breakdowns. The owner and I decided on a final direction for the interior design, which allowed for completion with the project. The various spaces are currently being set up by FWF office team members utilizing the designs that I presented.
